Rob combines his legal and business background to provide tax services to high net-worth individuals and their various entities. In addition to tax compliance services, he is significantly involved in research and planning for the firm's clients in complex areas including estate planning, oil and gas, non-profit organizations, and international taxation.
Prior to joining Durbin Bennett in 2013, Rob served as a Tax Associate at the Stamford, CT office of McGladrey LLP (now RSM US LLP). Working at a large public accounting firm in one of the wealthiest metropolitan regions in the country, Rob's clients included individuals listed on Forbes' list of 400 richest Americans. His experience has allowed him to develop substantial experience in delivering tax services for a wide range of clients.
Rob earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, CT. During law school, Rob served as an editor of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal, one of the few probate journals in the nation. He also obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quinnipiac University and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Rob is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas and admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas, the Austin Bar Association, the Austin Young Lawyers Association, and the REPTL (Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law), Tax Law, Business Law, and Oil, Gas and Energy Law sections of the Texas bar.
